    The Solon High School Marching Band consists of about 250 dedicated musicians and Starlette Dancers. All band members participate at band camp for one week at Walsh University in Canton, OH.  We perform at all football games, our Band Bash, and other band shows. We play at the Solon Home Days Parade, Memorial Day Parade, and usually one professional sport venue each year. We Solon Band at Cavs Gamehave performed for the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers (x2), and the Cleveland Browns.

The Band is planning a trip towards the end of the year, during which they will compete in a concert band competition. Stay tuned for more information following board approval (We hope!).

Ed Kline playing Trumpet. Courtesy of Ed KlineEd Kline has been with Solon since 2004, and is head director of the Solon High School Marching Band. In addition, Ed enjoys teaching the Wind Ensemble, Music Theory class, History of Jazz class and instructing the Jazz Band (I). Ed was an assistant band director at Hudson High School for 9 years, before coming to Solon.  Ed is a Kent State University Graduate.
Rob Luce-Assistant Director

Courtesy of Rob LuceIn addition to being assistant director at the high school, Rob teaches  Concert band at the High School and at Solon Middle School. Rob donates his hair to Locks of Love.
Adam Chongris-Assistant Director

    In addition to being assistant director at the high school, Adam teaches band at the Middle School, where he also directs the 7th Grade Jazz Band. Since 2009, Adam has lead  the  new  Solon High School's Jazz II band.


Sha'ran Marshall-Starlette Instructor

    Is our amazing instructor, who has led the Solon Starlettes Dance team to victory in local and state competitions. (Video of Sha'ran teaching band to dance coming soon!)
